A carpenter can price more accurately when they know the sizes from the start.
Width and height inside the frame. If you're replacing a door, it's the first thing they'll ask.
How many wardrobes, beds, a dressing table? For a kitchen: how many wall and base units. A written list cuts the call in half.
Does the door scrape at the bottom, or is there a gap at the top? Is the wardrobe door dropping on the hinge side or the handle side? Photograph it closed.
Moving furniture into a flat? Measure the lift door or the stair width. A big wardrobe sometimes only goes in dismantled.
A first explanation; the carpenter has the final word after seeing it.
The wood has shrunk in the dry air. Sometimes adjusting the hinges or adding a strip is enough; sometimes the door needs replacing.
The frame has twisted slightly or the hinge has dropped under the weight. The carpenter moves the strike plate or the hinges.
A cheap hinge, or screws pulled out of chipboard or MDF. It needs a stronger hinge or the screw hole filling.
Not the heat: a water leak. Plumber first, then the carpenter replaces the panel or unit.
Solid wood splits if it dries too fast, especially near sun or an AC vent. Filler and a finish sort it.
Screws not tightened properly or parts fitted the wrong way. The carpenter who took it apart is best placed to rebuild it.
The kind of job changes the time, the price and how you agree it.
Existing furniture, or new flat-pack.
Built-in wardrobe, new door, wooden kitchen.
Have the carpenter dismantle the day before or that morning, and refit once everything has arrived.
In the new flat, ask for the wardrobe to be fixed to the wall, especially with children around.
If furniture will sit for hours in a courtyard or outside the building in summer, cover it or bring it in quickly.
Some walls are plasterboard and some block. The carpenter needs to know to choose the fixings.
Keep the answers on WhatsApp so you can refer back on fitting day.
Dismantling and refitting a bedroom set is advertised from about SAR 180. Tell them how many pieces and ask for one figure.
Ask about the material and thickness, and whether the frame is replaced too.
Good hardware makes a big difference to how long doors last.
For a kitchen or built-in wardrobe, get the time in writing.
A bare back panel takes in and gives off moisture faster and warps.
Agree they'll come back to adjust it with no call-out fee.
If you notice more than one, ask more before you pay.
On fitting day the screws go missing and the job drags.
Chipboard at a solid-wood price is your loss.
Over time it pulls out and falls.
A sensible deposit is normal; the rest after fitting.

Madinah carpentry firms published these rates on their own price lists (2026). They aren't Laqeeni's figures, and no actual customer job sits behind them. You and the carpenter settle the price between you; Laqeeni stays out of the money and takes no commission.
Madinah's dry heat makes wood shrink. A small adjustment is usually enough; replacing is the last resort.
For an ordinary room, usually a few hours at each end: taking it apart in the old home and rebuilding it in the new one.
No, not a riyal. You contact the carpenter directly and agree the price and how you'll pay between you.
