A mover prices on three things: how much stuff, how many floors, and where it's going. Have the answers ready.
Write it down: bedrooms, wardrobes, sofas, fridge, washing machine, air conditioners. That list cuts the phone call in half.
Central Taif is one thing; Al Hada or Ash Shafa at either end is another, and Jeddah or Makkah another again. The climb and the descent are priced in.
Photograph the stairwell, the door width and the street outside. Some lanes in the old centre are too tight for a big truck.
Thick fog or rain on the Al Hada and Ash Shafa roads slows everything. If there's a warning, postpone or start once it lifts.
Most of it is sorted with one question before you book.
On a truck going down Al Hada or Al Kar with the load roped in, furniture slides and gets scratched. Ask about ratchet straps and dividers in the box.
Two boxes, a bed and a desk don't need a six-tonne truck. A motorbike carrier is cheaper and gets down narrow lanes.
People with a place in Ash Shafa or Al Hada find out on the day that the key isn't with them or the power is off. Sort it the day before.
Dismantled fast, rebuilt in a hurry. Ask for the screws bagged and labelled with the piece they belong to.
A split unit needs a technician to pump the refrigerant back before it's disconnected. Taken off with a spanner, it may need regassing later.
An extra floor or an item nobody mentioned, and the figure climbs. A written list closes that door.
Three levels with very different prices. Choose by how much you're moving, not by the first number you hear.
A few things: a bed, a desk, boxes, a small fridge.
A small flat, and you do the packing.
A family flat, a villa, or a move to another city.
In Ash Shafa and Al Hada fog tends to sit early in the day. Start when you can see, and finish before sunset.
Fridge and washing machine low at the front, boxes on top. It matters on the descents.
Official papers, medicines, chargers, gold and the new house keys travel in your own car, never in the truck.
Use the list you wrote before booking and tick items off before paying the balance.
Keep the answers in writing. If there's a dispute, the message is the record.
And wrapping? And the AC units? Have each item listed.
A loader isn't the same as someone who puts a wardrobe back properly.
Ratchet straps or rope? It matters on the Al Hada or Al Kar descent.
It keeps sofas and mattresses dry and clean on the road.
Compensation or repair? Ask before, not after.
A small deposit is enough, the rest after everything's refitted.
None of these makes a mover a cheat, but each deserves another question.
It usually changes on the day.
Sofas and mattresses get soaked, and Taif's spring rain arrives suddenly.
The mountain descent shifts the load.
You're left with nothing to negotiate with if they're late or break something.
Figures published by removal firms working in Taif (2025 – 2026). They show what's reasonable; the amount, the floors and the distance move the number.
| Service | Rough price |
|---|---|
| Motorbike carrier, a few items within Taif | SAR 30 – 100 a trip |
| Motorbike carrier to or from Al Hada / Ash Shafa | SAR 80 – 150 |
| Small truck (2 tonnes) within Taif | SAR 150 – 250 |
| Truck to or from Al Hada / Ash Shafa | SAR 400 – 700 |
| One- or two-room flat with services | SAR 200 – 500 |
| Three- to four-room flat | SAR 400 – 800 |
| Villa | SAR 900 – 2,000 depending on size |
| Dismantling and refitting only | SAR 100 – 300 |
| Wrapping | SAR 50 – 150 |
💡 Out of town the figures are far apart: one Taif firm lists Taif to Makkah at SAR 400 – 800 and to Jeddah at 500 – 900, while a price guide published in September 2026 puts a two-bedroom flat from Jeddah to Taif at SAR 1,800 – 2,800. Get two written quotes on the same list of items.
🛵 If your things fit a motorbike carrier or a small truck, pack yourself and keep the difference. A full firm earns its fee on villas and on moves with a mountain descent.
Table sources: three Taif removal firms' pages and a services platform that publishes Taif prices, opened in November 2026 (one page dates from July 2025). These are advertised prices, not invoices from real moves. You settle the price with the mover yourself, and Laqeeni takes nothing from the deal.
Going by firms that publish prices: one or two rooms SAR 200 – 500, three or four rooms roughly SAR 400 – 800, more with stairs, dismantling and refitting.
The motorbike for light loads, short hops and narrow lanes. Anything with a big fridge, sofas or more than one room is safer on a truck.
Usually, yes. Firms price the mountain climb separately; a truck to or from Al Hada or Ash Shafa is listed at SAR 400 – 700.
No. You choose the mover and deal with them yourself, and they keep the whole amount.
