What to check

• A written quote

  The price, what's included and the date, in a message or a document.

• Deposit and refund in writing

  Write down the deposit, when it's refunded, and what happens if the date moves.

• Photographers: all-female team, phone and posting rules

  Ask for an all-female team, and agree phone use and whether photos may be posted.

• Made-to-order items

  Printed or made-to-measure items usually can't be returned, so agree every detail before work starts.
