Most homes in Dhahran are villas, and many are new, in districts like Ad Danah, Ad Dawhah and Al Qusur. That brings different questions: is the home still under the builder's warranty? Can the fuse board take extras like garden or pool lighting, or an EV charger? Here's what to check, what to ask, and rough prices for villa work.

Don't open sockets, panels or garden lights. These checks only; leave the rest to the electrician.
New villa? Check your purchase contract or warranty papers. Many developers cover the electrics for a period after handover, so the repair is on them.
Villas often have more than one board (ground floor, first floor, annex). Check them all. Switch a dropped breaker back on once only.
If the fault is in the garden or pool lighting, switch off its breaker and don't touch anything wet.
Try the appliance in another socket, and a charger you know works in the first one.
⚠️ Any electrics near the pool or garden water must be sealed and protected by an earth-leakage breaker. If you get a tingle, switch off the breaker and leave it off until an electrician has checked it.
And what usually causes them. The electrician will confirm.
Usually sprinkler water reaching a connection or light post. It needs sealed, waterproof boxes.
The pool pump and lights sit close to water. The breaker may be protecting you from a leak, so don't ignore it.
A charger needs its own circuit from the board. The electrician checks the board and meter can take it before fitting.
Cabling and fitting work. Ask where the recorder goes, and whether the cameras work on your phone.
Before you pay anyone, check whether the warranty covers it, photograph the fault and tell the developer.
Sun and dust wear out outdoor fittings. Ask for weather-resistant outdoor lights.
Want a charger, garden lights and cameras? Book them in one visit. The cabling overlaps and the price is better.
For bathrooms, kitchen, garden and pool, this breaker protects against shocks.
Send photos of your fuse boards to the electrician on WhatsApp before the visit.
When they're done, ask them to label what each breaker does. It helps later.
Ask before they start. A good electrician won't mind.
Before a charger, pool or more ACs, ask about the load.
For the pool, garden and bathrooms, ask whether there is one or whether it needs fitting.
For outdoor lights and sockets.
Especially for chargers and cameras, the difference is big.
On the work and the parts, in writing.
Look at photos of similar jobs.
One sign on its own doesn't prove anything, but take care if you see them.
A charger needs its own circuit. An ordinary socket overheats.
In the garden or around the pool, that's dangerous.
It trips for a reason. They need to find it.
Keep some back until you've tested everything.

💡 New villa? Before you pay for any fault, check the developer's warranty. And if you're adding things, ask whether it affects the warranty.
🧾 Ask for a written quote that separates parts and equipment from labour, especially for chargers and cameras.
A rough guide from a 2026 Saudi electrical price guide that puts Eastern Province prices close to the national average. We couldn't find prices for Dhahran on its own, and electricians who cover Dhahran usually cover Al Khobar and Dammam at the same rates. The final price is agreed between you and the electrician. Laqeeni doesn't set prices or take commission.
Check the developer's or builder's warranty first. Many cover the electrics for a period after handover. Tell them in writing, with photos.
Usually yes, but it needs its own circuit from the board, and the electrician makes sure the board and meter can take it.
No. Laqeeni is a directory that connects you with the electrician directly. You agree and pay between you.
