Introduction
Ramadan and Eid are the biggest sweets season of the year. If you are after dessert trays for gatherings (صواني حلا مناسبات) or Eid gift boxes, it helps to know how the season runs before you start.
When do orders start?
Last year's Eid rush in Jeddah began around day 15 of Ramadan, when companies, hotels and families all placed their sweets orders (Arab News, March 2026). One chocolate shop's sales rose 25% and an Al-Balad sweet shop's sales doubled.
Next season (1448) should fall about mid-February to mid-March 2027, Eid following near 9-10 March; these are estimates, so confirm with the Umm al-Qura calendar. Ask early rather than waiting for mid-Ramadan.
What was popular (Eid 2026)
- maamoul
- date desserts
- luqaimat
- pistachio chocolate
- kunafa brownies
Customers also wanted "a full table of sweets" and gift boxes.
